Our dealership specializes in agricultural tires, wheels and rims. We supply new and used parts for earlier model tractors and antique two cylinder tractors.
Barton County Implement, located in Lamar, MO, is family owned and operated, run by owners Jack and Betty Purinton. The family business was started in 1956, as a John Deere dealership. As the business grew, we purchased the building next door and established a tire shop, which provided customer sales and supplied tire replacements and repairs for our own inventory.
Eventually the business grew to a four store dealership with added locations in Lockwood, Joplin and Nevada. In 2019, the four-store dealership, known as Legacy Farm and Lawn, sold the John Deere portion of the dealership.
Today, our emphasis is on agricultural tires, wheels and rims. We are a Firestone dealer, offering new and used inventory.
Jack Purinton has been in the agricultural tire business for 66 years. He has a great deal of knowledge in tires, wheels and rims for all sizes of tractors. Our extensive knowledge of tractors and how tire sizes relate is very important to the completion of a satisfactory sale for our customers.
Though our business is now quite small, we are able to handle most, if not all of our customers needs for new and used farm tires, wheels and rims.
Jack has a passion for antique tractors. We offer antique tires and wheels. We have a large parts inventory available for antique John Deere tractors.
